The Google Workspace for Education - Central Instance is available to Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) & Diocese of Sale Catholic Education Ltd.(DOSCEL) schools to support online learning and collaboration.
The Google Workspace for Education - Central instance is available for all school staff and students in these dioceses.
Google Courses for Educators
Courses in how to use the Google suite of tools are available for all educators and IT administrators through the Google Teacher Center.
Courses are catered to new and advanced learners.
Implementing the Google Workspace for Education Central Instance in your school
All schools in the MACS and DOSCEL can join the Google Workspace for Education - central instance.
Benefits of joining the CEV Google Workspace for Education Central Instance
The benefits for schools include:
service desk support for any issues with implementing the Google Education suite of tools
free access to Hapara, a third-party application offering online management of student learning (Schools need to request access to Hapara separately)
support for future upgrades – all releases and changes to the Google Workspace for Education instance are tested, released and communicated in a controlled state. The service desk will provide schools with access or configuration advice for the Google services and Chrome devices
multiple school domains – teachers and users can belong to multiple schools in the central instance with emails coming into a single mailbox
one identity for students – each user has one profile which they keep even if they change schools within the Google Workspace for Education central instance
If you wish to join the CEV Google Workspace for Education Central Instance you can email ICTSupport@macs.vic.edu.au and log an expression of interest to join the instance. You will receive a follow-up phone call from the support team.
